Crooked Creek School

Mission Statement

Our Mission

Crooked Creek School

will provide teamwork to ensure that each child achieves his/her fullest potential.

The mentally impaired program at Crooked Creek School stresses individual progress and strives to insure that each child achieves their maximum potential in their least restricted environment.  Within this program, achievement is recognizable through motor development, daily living skills, language development,  and community based instruction, through a systematic and coordinated course of study.  The students are encouraged to develop abilities through individualized instruction and multidisciplinary approaches, so that they can function at home, school or community.

Welcome to Crooked Creek School

Logan County, West Virginia.

We look forward to the 2005-2006 school year with great optimism.

I am excited about what awaits them at Crooked Creek School.  I know they will be welcomed into a unique learning environment enriched by the instruction.  I take comfort in the knowledge that the teachers and staff members will treat them with tenderness and respect and they will flourish in this rich and nourishing learning environment.

Whether it is their first or fifth year at Crooked Creek, the students are an important part of the school’s family.  The staff plays a vital role in both the success of the students and the success of the school.

Crooked Creek School offers a rigorous curriculum enriched by instruction in Academics, Independent Living Areas, Individualized Instruction, Social Behavior and Communication.

Please feel free to visit our campus and see firsthand the power of hands on experience, nurturing environment and dedicated staff.

"When I approach a child, he inspires in me two sentiments; tenderness for what he is, and respect for what he may become." -Louis Pasteur, chemist.
